Wow, did I ever have trouble choosing features this week! I can’t believe the talent that is on the web. You ladies are amazing! Before I start the party, here’s what’s been going on at OneCreativeMommy this week.
- Now that I have recovered from extremely overdoing the projects for Boo’s b-day party, I’m back to posting a little more regularly. What helped me get back on my feet? . . . a little pick me up from some friends. You can read about it here.
- In honor of Boo’s b-day, I shared a project created by her! Read here to find out about her awesome Composition Notebook Makeover.
- Do you love gardening? So do I, but I am definitely still learning. Here’s a humorous look at my do’s and dont’s.
- Finally, I posted my first Artsy Party project–Easy Flowered Headbands. I must admit . . . my models are quite adorable–and the headbands, too! This is a project you and your daughters can do together.
Time for my favorite part–the features! . . . And the most viewed link was . . .
There are so many fantastic things about this room that I don’t even know where to start. Hayley, at Welcome to the Mouse House, has combined clean lines and fabulous colors with the perfect artwork to create an awesome space for kids. I can’t gush enough. You just have to see it! Check it out here.
I don’t know about you, but I absolutely love to relax and read in a hot tub. My only problem is that my arms get tired of holding up the book! Jessi, at PracticallyFunctional.net, has come up with the perfect solution in this great upcycle. Check out her tutorial for transforming a pallet into a bath shelf.
Check out this awesome playhouse makeover from Heather at Brie Brie Blooms. She’s transformed an ordinary playhouse into a French Cottage! She even dressed up the benches!
Do you think you don’t have the time or the skills to layer your daughter’s hair? Think again. Sonja, from Practical-Stewardship.com, shows us how to create a layered cut in just five minutes! I can’t wait to try it.
Since my broken, ancient plastic floor mat is really bugging me right now (the chair legs keep getting stuck in the cracks), this chevron desk chair mat from Kathie, at Krafty Kat, really stood out to me. I can’t wait to upgrade to this great look!
My kids and I love hot chocolate, but it’s scorching hot where we live right now. (Of course, the kids still want to drink it. Crazy, right?) We are going to love this frozen twist! I can’t wait to try it. Thanks to Shatzi, at Love and Laundry, for this awesome recipe!
Finally, since I am a fan of all desserts that contain peanut butter or chocolate, I had to feature this great recipe from Cook the TV: Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie. Just the title makes me smile!
And now, onto the party!
