Teacher Appreciation Ideas for Door Decorating

Published: Jan 29, 2021 by Heidi. This post may contain affiliate links 9 Comments

It's that fantastic time of year again when we get to thank teachers for their hard work!  We just finished Teacher Appreciation week at our school, and it was so fun to see all the thoughtful things that the parents did for the teachers.  We were spoiled -- absolutely spoiled!  My lunch from Monday stayed in the fridge all week because there were so many goodies to taste in the teachers lounge!  As per my new tradition, I collected door decorating ideas to share with you.  Check out 10 of my favorites:

If you've seen the Lego Movie, I'm sorry in advance that you will now be singing "Everything is Awesome" for the rest of the day!  The original door had a really cool drawing of the star of the Lego movie, but I felt funny posting someone else's drawing, so I added my own Lego guy.

Aren't all the ideas awesome?  (I know.  Just when you thought you'd get the song out of your head--it's back.  Sorry!)  We have such talented parents at our school.  These are just a few of the great ideas shared this year.  Which is your favorite?

To all of you parents who have ever decorated a door for teacher appreciation week . . . THANK YOU!!!

I know it takes a lot of time.  I hope it's worth it to you, because it is so fun for the teachers (and the students).  It is so fun to see all of the creative doors as I walk though the school!  The students love to show me the doors to their classrooms.

I'm in charge of the door for our room this year too. I had all the kids sign a piece of paper and then blew it up HUGE so their signatures were giant. I cut them out and pasted them all over the door (Which I covered in white paper with lines like like loose leaf paper) and also added a giant pencil with the phrase "Mrs. XXX is the "write" teacher for us!"

I love these ideas you are sharing.. I am definitely going to keep them in mind for next year!
