Welcome to the fastest One Creative Weekend post ever! It’s 11:55, and I have the timer set to get my last batch of cookies out of the oven in 10 minutes. We’ll see if I make it!
It’s been a crazy day. In addition to dinner, a meeting, gymnastics and homework help, Bear and I made the fastest Aztec costume ever (for a school project tomorrow), and I made my first batch of gluten-free pumpkin chocolate chip cookies for a tasting party in Boo’s class tomorrow. If you think trying a new recipe with ingredients you are not used to using while helping a child finish a report is easy–think again!
I just have one thing to say after this crazy evening:
Mom. I’m sorry for all of the times that I waited until the last minute to ask you for help with a project, and I’m extremely grateful for the late nights you spent with me completing those projects! Now that I have my own kids . . . I guess it’s payback time.
Needless to say, I will not be sharing features today. I will, however, be sharing features on my facebook page all next week. If you aren’t a follower already, be sure to like my page so that you don’t miss anything.
Here’s what I’ve been up to this week:
My first Gluten-Free Monday post: Boo’s Gluten-Free Story. If you eat gluten-free, you can link up ideas and tips every Monday.
My tutorial for Dried Pears and Pear/Apple Fruit Rolls
Congrats to Christie at I Gotta Try That. Her mummy project was the most-clicked link! My kids are going to love making these!
Now, onto the party! Show me what you’ve got! (I love this party. InLinkz makes this so easy. Want to host your own linky party? Click on this little button to visit InLinkz and try it for yourself!
(If you’re wondering . . . No. I did not finish before the cookies were done. Not even close!)
