If you love Pun Halloween Costumes, have I got an easy idea for you! All you need is a pair of scrubs, a witch hat, and miscellaneous accessories to become a Witch Doctor! I've been wearing this costume for years. (Maybe it's time to change it up for next year, but it's such an easy costume that I can't seem to give it up!)
Please try to ignore the fact that I am not looking at the camera in this picture. It's really bugging me, and now that I've mentioned it, it will probably bug you too! It's like saying, "Don't think of an elephant!"
Anyway--now that I'm done criticizing how I look in the picture--on to my idea!
Easy Pun Costume Idea: Witch Doctor
Here's what you need:
- Witch Hat (I bought mine on clearance after Halloween.)
- Scrubs
- Pointy shoes (With today's styles, that's not hard to find!)
- Black socks or tights (and masking tape) or striped tights or socks (I refuse to pay $7-$15 for striped tights that will only get used once or twice!)
- Any doctor kit tools you can get your hands on (We have the real thing at our house, but if you don't, pull from your kid's doctor kit. Or just skip it. The costume works fine without it.)
A note about my socks. Every year, I promise myself that I will pick up a pair of striped witch socks from the clearance rack after Halloween. Every year, I forget! I usually do this costume with plain, black tights. This year, I got creative. My stripes are made from masking tape, and I love them!
I've seen a lot of great punny costumes on pinterest this year, so who knows? Maybe this will be the year that I finally try a new costume. Or--maybe not. After all, I did finally figure out the socks!
