I'm biting my nails today because my oldest just started middle school. It will be her first year in a new school -- with lockers and everything. She'll be fine, right? (Fingers crossed.) A new year means new lunch box jokes for my kiddos (and for you)! This year I picked a back to school theme, and you'll find half here and half over at Pretty Providence where I'm guest posting today. (I love it when I can be in two places at once!)

I'm just like the kids. By the end of the year I'm counting down for school to end, but by the end of the summer I'm dying for them to go back. I do get nervous for them when they go back, though. I wonder what kind of year they'll have and if they'll make friends. To get through those first days of school, I always send them something fun in their lunches.
Today, I sent them each a back to school joke. The card reminded them that Mom loves them, and the joke gave them something to talk to with the other kids at lunch. Want your own set of conversation-starter lunch box jokes?

Print the cards on cardstock, cut them out, and then laminate them so that you can use them over and over from year to year. If you'd prefer to print your cards at a photo printing shop, I'm also sharing them all as 4 x 6 jpg files (two cards to a page). The cards you see in my pictures were printed at Walmart, and cost me less than $2.
I hope your kids enjoy the cards and have a great school year. I'll be sharing more back to school printables next week, so be sure to check back.
Need more jokes? I combined all of my jokes from here and Etsy into one giant Mega Pack with 22o jokes! It includes 22 new jokes only included in the Mega Pack. Find it here.

Thanks, Cathy. I like to ask the girls the joke when they get home and have them whisper the answer to me. (That way, their sisters who haven't had the joke in their lunch yet don't have the joke spoiled.)
