    Would you buy glasses online?

Published: Jun 6, 2015 by Heidi Fowler. This post may contain affiliate links 4 Comments

This post is for all of the busy moms out there who have to drag children with them to every appointment.  You know . . . like the time you took your oldest to buy shoes, and the younger siblings took down about twenty-five pairs of shoes each--not even close to their size--just because they wanted to try them on. . . or the time you went to pick out new glasses frames and you had to alternate between checking out a frame in the mirror, corralling your toddler back into the store, and keeping your three year old from snapping pricey frames in half.  Oh, wait.  That was me.  Hmm.  I bet you've had similar experiences!

When GlassesUSA.com contacted me to check out their site and write post about it, I was:

    1. Super excited about my first opportunity to write a sponsored post, and
    2. Super skeptical that picky me could choose glasses online--without trying them on first

So, I checked out their site and found this cool little feature:

You can upload a picture of yourself and try virtually try on any glasses you like!  Cool.  I had to try it.

Here I am, wearing some of my favorite eyeglasses:  (One of them is my current pair.)

Which glasses do you like best?

So, what do you think?  Is seeing yourself in the frames enough to make you want to buy eyeglasses online, or do you feel like you absolutely have to hold them in your hands to decide?  I'm still not sure.  Using the virtual mirror, I resized my face to fit the frames.  I think I did it right, but what if I didn't?  At least for this website, there's good news.  They offer a 110% lowest price guarantee and a 100% satisfaction guarantee.  Sounds pretty good to me.

If you are interested in trying this site, GlassesUSA.com is offering a special deal for my readers:

STOREWIDE OFFER - Take 15% off your entire order amount + FREE shipping (orders over $50). Code: FS15

Take 10% off any order of prescription glasses. Code: Blog10

After my most recent visit to the shoe store (yesterday), when Lu and Boo took all of the necklaces off of the rack and wore them as crowns while I helped Bear try on shoes, I'm thinking a little bit of online shopping sounds pretty good!

The opinions are my own, but this is a sponsored post.

I could "see" doing buying glasses online. It is nice that you can load a picture and then try on different ones. Seems like it might be a cheaper way to go.
