    Frugal Packaging for Treats!

    Published: Jan 29, 2021 by Heidi Fowler. This post may contain affiliate links 7 Comments

    Frugal Treat Packaging from OneCreativeMommy.com {Don't buy expensive treat bags!  You dont need them.}

    Today I'm sharing a simple and inexpensive idea for packaging treats.  If you've ever purchased treat bags from a craft store, you know that they can be pretty pricey.  Even worse, they don't always fit your treat!  I bought some for the treats you see above, and they were too small.  Grrr.  Total waste of money!  I had to come up with a substitute solution in a pinch.

    My Frugal Packaging Solution:

    Yep.  That's just a generic ziplock baggie.  It's probably worth about a nickle.  Just snip off the ziplock and tie it off with a pretty ribbon.  One size fits all.  Total cost?  Free.  (I always have baggies on hand, and the ribbon came from my craft stash.)

    Want to learn how to make the treats?  They're easy, too (and gluten free).  I'll be sharing how to make and frost the treats on Occasionally Crafty tomorrow as part of their Spring Fling!  Be sure to stop by to check out the spring projects and to enter their huge giveaway.

      That's a great idea! I, too, was shocked at how expensive clear treat bags were...even with the craft store coupon. This will work. The bags only get tossed anyway - even if they didn't look perfect like yours do.

      Haha, Heidi! You're a stinkin' GENIUS. Sometimes I see things like this and I wonder how on Earth it never occured to me to do this. I love it! Thanks

      Great tip, Heidi! This is perfect for those one-off treats you need to wrap up and don't want to buy a whole bunch to do it. I've pinned this :)
