LDS General Conference Quotes -- Free Printables!

What did you do this weekend?  I had a great time with my family watching the General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (also called the LDS or Mormon church).  Today I'm sharing two of my favorite General Conference quotes as free printables!  (The download link is at the end of the post.)

The Stronger the Wind, the Stronger the Trees

I love the message of gaining strength through adversity that comes from this poem by Douglas Malloch:President Thomas S. Monson originally shared the poem during the October 2013 General Conference, but Elder Neil L. Anderson also spoke about adversity on Saturday morning.  He shared how a tree is strengthened by wind and compared it to our own trials and how we are strengthened by adversity.  Both messages were fantastic.  If you'd like to read or watch them, I've linked to both talks.

What Will You Do With Your 4 Minutes?

As a mother of an athlete, I loved Bishop Gary E. Stevenson's message.  He shared stories of inspiring athletes from the past Olympics and pointed out how all of their training ultimately led to about four minutes that changed their lives.  He then reminded us that this life is our four minutes.

"This life is your four minutes.  While you are here, your actions will determine whether you win the prize of Eternal Life."  -Bishop Gary E. Stevenson
