Don't Eat Pete Addition Game

Published: Jan 26, 2021 by Heidi Fowler. This post may contain affiliate links 2 Comments

Since I'm getting ready to share this game in first grade tomorrow, I thought I'd share it with you, too!  Whether the kids are new to addition or need a review after summer break, Addition Don't Eat Pete is perfect for children in K-2nd Grade.  This game is sold in my store for $2.50. This game is now free for everyone!

Looking for a fun way to memorize addition facts? Try this Dont Eat Pete Addition Game! | A fun educational version of a family favorite! {OneCreativeMommy.com}

Addition Don't Eat Pete

Kids who have memorized addition facts definitely have an advantage when it comes to math!  Learning these simple facts first makes learning difficult math much easier!  Quickly recalling addition facts allows kids to solve more complicated problems as they get older.  If you have an advanced kindergartener, a first grader, or a second grader who needs a review, this kit is right for them.

The kit includes 11 addition fact game boards and instructions, and is ideal for giving children a fun way to learn their facts or to practice facts during the summer months.  (+1, +2, +3, +4, +5, +6, +7, +8, +9, Addition Doubles, and Doubles +1. )

See below for a video demonstration of the addition doubles game board.  (Prior to the recording, and without telling Boo, I selected a fish to be "Pete."  The fish I selected was 0+0, so Boo was able to clear the entire board without "eating Pete."  The kids usually don't get lucky enough to clear the whole board, but it does happen!)
