Isn't this beaded garland gorgeous? Check out the simple tutorial to make one for your home.
I'm excited to welcome my next guest--Meredith, from Wait 'Til Your Father Gets Home! Her site is host to two of my very favorite projects--the Mad Planter and the Fabric Covered Crate Seat. I didn't realize they were both from her site until today, but they are some of the very first projects I pinned when I started blogging. Here she is:
Hi everyone, I'm Meredith from Wait 'Til Your Father Gets Home! I love sewing, crafting, baking, and making delicious new recipes. I'm thrilled to be here today at One Creative Mommy sharing a super simple idea for creating DIY Beaded Garland.
To make the garland, you'll need:
- A needle and thread
- Vase filler beads {I found red and white last June on clearance for $.35 a bag!!}
Conveniently, these particular beads had holes in them! How perfect is that!?
Now if your vase filler beads don't have a hole, I recommend getting the foam kind and poking the needle through yourself, like Jill did at Create.Craft.Love this year.
Not much to explain here, simply string your beads in the desired pattern you'd like. I have multiple sizes but only red and white, so the only "rule" I had was that it had to alternate in color.
Soon I had a beautiful beaded garland to add a pop of color to my green garland over my mantel. I just love it and it cost less than $2!
Thank you so much for having me today! If you'd like to pay me a visit, you can reach me at my blog, on Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest! Can't wait to "meet" you!!
Merry Christmas!
Thank you so much, Meredith! I'm definitely on the lookout now for clearance beads! I love the simplicity of the red and white. Be sure to stop by Meredith's site to check out her great ideas. I just popped over to check a link, and she had posted the most adorable felt bulb ornaments. (I am a huge felt fan!)

Saying lots of extra prayers for the innocent lives lost yesterday in Newtown, and for healing in the entire community. Every time my mind wanders and thinks about what happened, my heart breaks all over again.
