Can you believe it's already December? I've been cruising through the month trying to get everything done, and it just occurred to me that I haven't done any shopping yet! We've been having so much fun Christmas crafting, that I've forgotten all about the shopping. We just finished this fun yarn tree Christmas craft for kids.
When I started making my Knotted Yarn Christmas Tree decor, the kids wanted to get in on the action. It wasn't too difficult to adapt the project into something a little more kid-friendly.
With a little yarn and glue, we created these fun trees in no time. The fun part is that the kids can redecorate them every year. Since the decorations are attached with pins, and not glue, they can be changed as often as the kids want.
I'm sharing the tutorial today as a guest post on Juggling Act Mama. Just click the image below to get started creating your own yarn Christmas trees.
The kids are going to love creating their own Christmas decor. Mine are excited to display theirs in their rooms.
Still here? Why not check out a few more Christmas projects before you go?

These are so cute and look so simple, I think we'll have to make some!
Heidi Fowler
Thanks, Krista. They're easy, and the kids had a lot of fun.
Emily
so cute! I love those trees. Need to get some chunky yarn.. adorable!
Heidi Fowler
Thanks, Emily. You can do it with thin yarn, but the chunky works better for the kids. (Makes it quicker so they don't lose interest.) have fun.

I always have extra yarn left over from making scarfs. Great use of it instead of throwing it away!
Heidi Fowler
I'm glad that you don't have to throw it away now! (i'm a pack rat. I save everything!)

Great idea! I bought some of the styrofoam trees for craft projects for my son but wasn't quite sure how we would use them. Now I need to get some yarn. Thank you for sharing.
