Today was crazy hair/holiday hair day at my kids' school. I prefer cute crazy hair to messy crazy hair, so we whipped up this simple holiday hair. It only took a few minutes, and you can do it, too! (You won't believe how easy it is to create this style.)
If you can braid hair, you can do this.
(And this is what it looks like after a windy day at school!)
Step 1
Get your ornaments ready. Grab the tiniest hair tie you can find, and slip it through the top of the ornament. Put one end of the hair tie, through the other to create a little loop at the end of the ornament. Now slide a bobby pin through the loop.
Step 2
Part your child's hair and put it into two pigtails. Now braid each pigtail. (You can do one braid in the back instead.)
Step 3
Using the bobby pin, secure the ornament just above the pony tail holder. Wrap the braid around the pony tail, and bobby pin it in place. Repeat with the other braid. You are done!
Step 4
Take a picture, because your kid looks adorable!
Hair too short for a bun? No problem. If you can get it into braids, but it's too short to wrap, simply prepare a few extra ornaments and pin them down each braid. (We put three on each side.)
Have fun!
