Welcome to the final day of Spooktastic September! I hope you've loved the inspiration so far, and that your brain (if not yet your hands) has a head start on your plans for October. My final guest is sharing a really fun Halloween decor idea, and I absolutely love the colors! Keep reading to see how to turn paper goods into adorable decor!
It’s so nice to “meet” you here! Heidi asked if I’d like to do a guest post on her blog and, of course, I said yes! I’m Jodi Sanford, and I have a fun little company called Fancy Pants Designs! We create all sorts of fun paper goods, scrapbook supplies and party items!
Today I’m sharing a little Halloween set from our ‘monster’ collections that we call Be Different! It’s not in your traditional Halloween color pallet, but it certainly does the trick {or treat}! Plus, it’s kind of a fun, less scary way of keeping the little ones in the Halloween spirit. And I LOVE being able to use non-holiday themed items to make a unique look for my home and guests, so I hope you’ll see some fun ideas here that you can incorporate into your holiday decor!
First up, I found a cool beaker at a local antique shop that I thought would suit the Halloween spirit well. I taped it off and painted the bottom portion of it with orange craft paint~ it added a little ‘scientific’ liquid look to it. Then, I took some skewer sticks and added some ADORABLE, yet SCARY *wink* monsters to each one. I cut the monsters from the scrapbook paper and glued them right on to the sticks to create toppers. I simply arranged them in the beaker, and added a cute tag and some green tulle to top off the look!
Next, I also wanted to create a little signage for the decor. I used a wooden stand {painted up a shiny silver}, some green polka dot paper, an orange striped envelope, and a title piece from the Be Different collection. The title is embellished with some cute buttons and clipped on to the stand. That adorable wrap closure envelope is super fun and could even hold a little surprise inside—maybe a dollar bill or gift card … cute, right?! I just glued these pieces down and added a shimmery orange bow to finish it off. Super fun and super easy!
Last, but certainly not least…the TREATS! We can’t forget the good stuff! For my treat bags, I used our fun little diamond printed party sacks and added some cute details. I took a “flair” tin and attached it to one of our cute decor clothespins and clipped it right on to the sack and tag~all filled with some delicious goodies inside! Super easy, super cute and ready to go when the kids come knocking Halloween Night!!
Thanks for having me here, and I hope your creativity is bursting with all of the fun ideas you’ve seen this month! I hope you’ll join us on our blog, where you’ll find regular inspiration featuring fabulous paper goods and more! Happy Halloween!!

I'm loving the spooky inspiration here! I can't wait to try some of these ideas with my family. I know my husband will appreciate the beaker, especially with his chemistry background.
