One Creative Weekend Linky Party #2

Welcome to One Creative Weekend #2! Last week’s party had 27 awesome links. Thanks so much for coming and sharing your ideas. Before we start the party, here’s what I’ve been up to this week:

Bin CloseupIn my post, Organize Me #4: Laundry Room Counter, I shared my ideas for organizing clutter and helping my kids take responsibility for their own messes.

Summer Brocolli Salad with Brocolli FlowersLater in the week, I shared a new recipe, Summer Broccoli Flower Salad. Did you know that the flowers on broccoli plants are not only edible–but yummy?! My kids actually pick them off the plants and nibble on them every time they pass the garden. (I’m just glad they’re getting more veggies!)

Felt PancakesJust for fun, here’s a post from my archives–Felt Pancakes and French Toast. If your little ones love play food, check out this post for a tutorial and free pattern.

I hope to post a Friday Freebie (printable grocery list) later today. But you know me, Friday Freebies occasionally turn into Monday Freebies! Be sure to check back.

Now for some features from last week’s party: Believe it or not, the fan favorites and my favorites were exactly the same!

First, Bethany at PitterAndGlink pulled off this amazing living room makeover for her mom. Here’s my favorite part:

Living Room Makeover from Pitter&Glink

Isn’t that shutter beautiful? I can’t wait to try the shutter and the framed fabric in my family room. Decorating around a TV and creating height on a fireplace are two difficult decorating spots for me. Be sure to check out Bethany’s site for all the great ideas she used in this room.

Next, BJ at Joy 2 Journey took us on an inside tour of the fantastic playhouse she created under her staircase. I must say, I have serious playhouse envy.

She originally posted this in January, and I can’t believe that it hasn’t been featured on every website! It’s amazing. When you visit her site, be sure to check out this post if you want to learn all the details for this great project (inside and out).

Finally, Liz at Love Grows Wild shared her fantastically organized pantry.  I’m amazed at how well she was able to use her space.  I can’t wait to try some of her ideas.  I especially liked the hanging baskets for storing onions, garlic, etc.
